Ben Grifhorst will be starting his 6th year as the wrestling coach at Brighton Middle Schools and as a math teacher at Brighton High School. Before this, he was the assistant wrestling coach and a teacher at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, for three years. He started wrestling in first grade with the Grandville Wrestling Club where he participated in freestyle tournaments. He wrestled at Grandville High School for four years as well as wrestling internationally with Athletes in Action. Upon graduating, he pursued a degree in education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Chris Collins will be in his 2nd season as Scranton coach. Coach Collins wrestled for 4 years at Corunna High School, in Corunna, Michigan. He was an assistant coach at Saline High School in 1989-90. He has coached Brighton youth Wrestling Club since 1997, and has been a volunteer assistant coach with the Brighton High School team for the past 5 seasons.
